These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Inkature ("we," "us," or "our"), accessible at inkature.com. By creating an account or using the platform in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Inkature.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Inkature. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We reserve the right to terminate accounts we discover belong to users under 13.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Choose a strong password and enable multi-factor authentication — Inkature supports it and we strongly recommend it.
You may not share your account with others, create accounts on behalf of someone else without their consent, or operate multiple accounts to evade a suspension or ban.
You must provide accurate information when registering. Your username must not impersonate another person or entity, or be otherwise misleading.
You retain full ownership of any content you create and post on Inkature — your writing projects, synopses, descriptions, posts, and profile information are yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to us.
By posting public content on Inkature, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and transmit that content for the purpose of operating and improving the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not claim any right to use your content for advertising, AI training, or any purpose beyond running Inkature.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
Inkature is a space for writers. You agree not to use the platform to:
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules and to suspend or terminate accounts of users who breach them, with or without notice depending on the severity.
Inkature offers an optional paid supporter tier that unlocks additional features such as profile themes, writing heatmaps, and a pinned project. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe.
By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription; your supporter access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Inkature does not store your card details. For questions about charges, refunds, or billing disputes, contact us at support@inkature.com. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the supporter tier after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Your use of Inkature is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it to understand how we collect and use your information.
The Inkature name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, copy, or use them without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the service as described here.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile and content.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in harmful behaviour, or if we are required to do so by law. In serious cases (e.g. illegal content, threats of violence) we may act immediately and without prior notice.
If your account is suspended and you believe it was in error, contact us at support@inkature.com.
Inkature is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
We are not responsible for any content posted by users. The presence of a link or reference to an external site does not constitute our endorsement of it.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Inkature and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Inkature shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 USD.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you via the platform or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Inkature after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should delete your account before the changes become effective.
